Overview

Of the 4 tracks recorded by Colossus, "Zeus" was chosen as the main music-video because of its rockin'-out super-riff played by Bill's double-tracked bass. In keeping with music-video production 101, Bill and Philip are each shot and lit from below, their faces forge god-like poses - hammering like gods, as the rock journo lingo would have it. Below them, mere mortals - symbolized by made-in-China Masters of the Universe action dolls. They desperately copy their gods with bodies of frightfully phallic proportions doing some power-thrusting. Greek classicism meets plastic rock phallicism for Philistines: this is what Zeus listened to on weekends.

Technical

The video was shot on U-Matic video in a studio at Phillip Institute of Technology. Bill and Philip were shot live with a 2-camera set-up with chromo-key.
